Experience the world-famous Yoichi Single Malt Whisky at this classic distillery established in 1934.   Learn about how these special whiskies are made, and soak in the romantic story of how Nikka was born.

Guests of Hakuchōzan will experience an “only in HakuLife” special tasting at the distillery.

Makkari Discovery

At the southern foot of Mt. Yotei lies a small village with a population of just 2,000 people but renowned for three things – the enchanting Makkari Tofu factory where dozens of tofu products are put out every day for tasting that are each produced with the restorative and pure Mt. Yotei spring water, the Michelin-starred Maccarina restaurant, and the local “Tonkatsu” at Ichi Fuji restaurant made with local Makkari herb pork.  Just 30 minutes away from Niseko, Makkari is a terrific gastro excursion for the food enthusiast.
